Dreams - such a strange thing. Here we are, lying in bed, sleeping, allowing our body and our mind time to rest, renew, recuperate, and what is our brain doing? Putting on a production. Coming up, on the fly, with characters and scenes and plots and dialogues, all for us to explore with our sleeping consciousness. Last night I had a dream, and I was talking to one of my IRL uncles, and he started speaking French. First a word here and there, then more and more until he was speaking full in French. Heres the thing though - I dont speak French. At all. I hardly know any word or pronunciations. I know more German and Spanish than I know French, and I am no where near conversational in either of those languages. I dont even know enough French to fake-speak French. How did my brain come up with enough French to convince my sleeping conscious that I was hearing a conversation in French? Im baffled.
