Dreams cannot exist without nightmares to put them into perspective, to show just how good they can be. I hold both of them tightly as I close my eyes. The dreams so I can hold onto hope, and the nightmares so they dont slip into reality. The chaos that ensues from gripping onto them so tightly is my own, and sometimes, it cuts deep, like a sword without a sheath to return to. But every day I do, I know it makes me that much stronger for the next one following. I breathe out the smoke from the battle within myself. I am alive. I feel the good with the bad, and I see the beauty and the lack of thereof at all times, together, intertwining, never ceasing. I fall every day, and I will always rise to meet the moon. Renewed by its light I strike up to meet the sun. I may not always win the battle, but the war shall be mine. So I raise my glass to another day of defeat, another day of victory, another day that we make it out alive, for one day we wont, and I celebrate the chance to strike out again anew when I open my eyes again tomorrow. May you live too. Rest well, friend and enemy alike, for when the sun greets me, I will give it my all. ~Calcifer
