Driving down to Federal Court tomorrow for my best friend Jon who - TopicsExpress

Driving down to Federal Court tomorrow for my best friend Jon who is a Bosnia combat veteran. Jon was charged with disorderly conduct for going through a PTSD flashback in a mental hospital. The officers physically attacked him... I say attack not lightly. Jon had many bruises on him from their rough treatment as well as being pepper sprayed. Jon understands that he was not in his right mind and that he trying to defend himself from the attacks of the VA police officers. It is an eggreous violation of their position of power. If it was me, I would sue the VA for the physical attacks and make sure the officers lost their badges. It was a mental hospital with a decorated military veteran afraid for his life and suffering delusions caused by PTSD. They should have treated him with more respect even while trying to subdue him. The Springfield police on the other hand did a highly admirable job of subduing Jon during an earlier PTSD flashback at my house. The Springfield officers calmly talked him down, were forceful in making sure he would not harm anyone or himself by putting handcuffs on him, but they did not hurt Jon and they respected him the entire time. I applaud the Springfield police for their good work. I abhor the officers involved in the Fayetteville VA.
