Ducklings are famished all day long(well, almost)..they are growing by leaps and bounds and their yellow fluff is beginning to turn white; soon, they;ll look a lot like Daisy ! :-) Having trouble giving Monet anything to eat that shell take with pain medication..molasses and grain?No go..applesauce? No go..:-( Have to be careful about going into the paddock with too many goodies or all the steers and cows will come running; as gentle as they are, one does NOT want to be in the middle of a herd of steers clambering for something in ones pockets/hands!!! Were working on the drainage in the animals paddocks by digging and putting in crushed stone and O pipe covered in cloth; it is NO FUN feeding everyone when there are areas by the fence lines that are mud mixed with you-know-what!! UGH!Picking up their bowls is a challenge as theyre somewhat stuck in the mud and ..gloop! Out it comes, covered in yucky stuff!! :-) Daisy and the ducklings enclosure will be started on Monday..so excited to see them by the pond, with access to the pond; well be installing a fence line through the middle of the pond so theyll have lots of room to roam as well as half the pond in which to paddle around! The ducklings are loving the baby bath..splashing, diving under and paddling around..wish we had something comparatively as large for Daisy and she will not go into the pond..very interesting!! Thats all that time allows for now..hope yall create a tremendous Thursday! :-)
