Dude, guys. Sick fest yesterday! It was actually one of the funnest times Ive had playing smash in a while. It was awesome getting to see all you guys face off against our Elite 4, and just the hype it brought when a leader was defeated and the player got to go on to the next leader. I loved seeing your guys faces when you saw you had to play me in PM haha. What was also great about the meeting that we didnt really foresee, was that as officers, we got to see about what the skill level is of everyone. There were a couple beasts amongst all of you (you know who you are :3), but it also looked like there were a ton of you who after getting beat by either Melvin or Owen were just itching to improve. One of the visions for Smash Club this year is not only to provide a chill place to hang out and play smash, but also to provide the resources necessary for those that want to get better. That means during meetings, dont be afraid to ask any of us officers for our opinions on things! Like whats safe, whats not. How to deal with a move of a certain character. Best ways to recover. How to DI out of those really annoying combos. Why is your Fox better than my Fox. Why am I bad. Why cant I can recover with Captain Falcon ever? (hint: you cant). All great questions to ask! This group is getting way bigger than we had ever hoped. So many new timers are old timers are coming out to these, and its friggin sweet guys, seriously. Its one our concerns though that we might inadvertently cause friction in the scene simply because we dont have the space/time/resources to host events for all Smash games on the same day. And with Smash4 coming out soon, its going to get even harder to keep sodium levels down heh. Were working on a solution for this, so dont worry guys, but any suggestions would be hugely appreciated! One last thing! If you guys have a question about any logistical issues like where meetings are, what time, whats expected, what you can bring, PLS READ THE FAQ AND THE EVENT PAGES FOR MEETINGS. We try and get all the information you need for the club and meetings on those so look there first. If your question isnt answered by any of those sources, dont be shy to just ask in this group :). Theres like what, just over 200 people now in it? And a ton of knowledgeable/friendly people make up that number, so you know youll get a good answer!
