Due to circumstances beyond our control and following the intervention of the FA and Conference, we have been forced to call off the friendly against Forest Green. Ongoing ownership issues and non affiliation with the Wiltshire FA are amongst a raft of excuses being used to prevent us from going ahead with the match. While Salisbury City fell outside the jurisdiction of both the FA and the Conference, Forest Green didnt and were put under enormous pressure to withdraw from the game. So as not to disappoint people we have, at the last minute, arranged a match against Downton FC In light of developments we will not be charging any entry fee but would appreciate any donations to help cover the cost of staging the match. We would also urge the public to try and show up in numbers during these difficult times. When things are against you, it all goes wrong. For some reason I am unable to get onto the official site, hence no post on there. Also I am grateful to Mandy for putting it up on FB to give people as much notice as possible. It is the one time we have been away from the hotel and my computer since we arrived here.
