Due to several unforeseen circumstances we have decided to NOT - TopicsExpress

Due to several unforeseen circumstances we have decided to NOT march alongside Woolwich on the 23rd June. However, we propose to host a 5 minute silence, then sit down for a family - friendly picnic and balloon release to commmorate all British lives lost in all past and present wars. We feel this is more appropriate and presents a more suitable and relaxed atmosphere to sit alongside friends and family to remember those who gave their today for our tomorrow. Our plan is to meet at the cenotaph on Oswald Rd, Scunthorpe, North Lincolnshire DN15 7BD at 11:45 am 23rd June to hold our 5 minute silence commencing at 12:00pm, following that attending an open-for-all picnic at the Central Park Water Fountain and rounding the event off with a balloon release 1:15pm. We still wish to raise money for Combat Stress, Help for Heroes and The Royal British Legion so will still be having a collection for these charities. We will also still be wearing our Born to Party Ltd supplied Woolwich Strong tshirts, and we will also be selling helium filled balloons at the event to help raise money for Help for Heroes, Combat Stress and The Royal British Legion.. So please dig deep and bring your friends, family, neighbours, brothers, sisters and even your dog as we come together as a town to pay a special tribute to our safety blanket the Armed Forces, and pay our last respects to Drummer Lee Rigby. We would like to thank those who came forward volunteer. Jessica and Katie.
