Due to the fact that the BKR Grand did not have complimentairy - TopicsExpress

Due to the fact that the BKR Grand did not have complimentairy wifi and a very bad connection, we did not manage to update you any further in Chennai. However we have succesfully arrived in Bangalore in 5 hours by train. The wifi is free here not only in the lobby but in the rooms as well. I will first give you an update about Chennai and then I will try to upload some pictures as requested later this evening. The first day after arrival we went to the Anna University. First we had some presentations by the head of the International Office, a woman who promotes studying in Holland, our supervisor Allard and two presentations by professors about Jughaad and frugal innovation (due to our theme: Resource Scarcity). After this we received a decent Indian lunch, however most people are still afraid to eat to much of the unknown due to bowel protests. Then we had an informal discussion in four groups about the differences between The Netherlands and India on several grounds. Resource Scarcity, man/woman reslations, role of other people in your decision making process and much more was discussed. That evening we had a nice diner at a luxurious hotel called The Hyatt. The next day a trip to HECS was planned, but due to little enthousiasm and input from their end we decided to cancel it. What remained was a full day off. Some people decided to go swimming at the Hyatt, but most people took a rickshaw and drove around town to see some temples and other places. Later that night we all ate again at the Hyatt because it was really good. Today we took the train very early (we got picked up at the hotel around 4:30) to Bangalore, after 5 hours of training we reached Bangalore and our hotel. Still having the whole day ahead, but with little sleep last night it was just a bit of chilling so far.
