During Ramadan, Ive noticed that some Muslims try to become new - TopicsExpress

During Ramadan, Ive noticed that some Muslims try to become new people in the space of a month. This inadvertent motive doesnt sit with me well. I think maybe this could be the reason some Muslims struggle every Ramadan, because that sort of approach is unrealistic and such a heavy burden, then these individuals end up going back to old habits after Ramadan ends. Instead of trying to become new people, we should go into Ramadan with goals, and (InshaAllah - if God wills) one being the intention to abandon bad habbits with Islam as the tool for learning, spiritual benefit and growth. From personal experience, this has been the game changer for myself over the last couple of years and some friends, which we ended up missing Ramadan everytime it drew to a close. That sort of goal without changing who we are, should make it easier to maintain that level of engagement with Islam after Ramadan has ended (and obviously many other reasons) IMO. Ramadan countdown: 3 days to go (subject to moon sighting lol)! 🙌
