During our many years of exile in many different countries mixing with a range of other national liberation movements and left parties I enjoyed a great variety of cuisines and learnt to cook many different dishes. One of my favourites from Turkish, Greek and Cyprus comrades from both national groups is a dish called Yvetsi. This evening I decided to treat myself to a Yvetsi supper to eat while watching the finale of Strictly come dancing on telly. Here is the prep and final dish pictures.... hot out of the oven. The middle pic is before the second phase of cooking when the food from the pot goes into the baking dish to go into the oven for the slow cook which is the last process before serving. I am now ready for telly.
