During the Vietnam War, there was no true anti-war movement. It was an anti-draft movement of the middle and upper-middle class. With demise of conscription, the whole movement died with a whimper. Now the US has been fighting a number of prolonged wars. Of course, there is no anti-war movement. Hypocracy and cowardice. Victor Tsoi sang about it (Afghanistan, Chechenya, Georgia, Caucasus, and now Ukraine). And Russians seem to understand it. https://youtube/watch?v=0chFlVu5L_w
