During the early morning hours this morning my Marble passed away in her sleep. While she had not been in the best of health it was a very unexpected passing. I do take comfort in knowing that she did not suffer for any length of time since she was her normal self when we went to bed last night. Marble was not the type of cat who enjoyed being petted, held, sitting in your lap, cuddling with you, and had all the other cats, except Belle, afraid of her and overall she was our nasty little brat. However she loved to be with me, loved to rub against my feet, was always waiting for me on the other side of any closed door, loved her wet food, and could out purr any cat I have ever met. I still remember the day I went to the shelter to get my next foster cat and I walked out with a very unhappy and angry cat who I was told was a very sweet and friendly cat that just needed to get out and into a home. Well I cant say that she ever became a sweet and friendly cat but she was happy, especially these last few years, and I loved her and was happy to be the one that gave her a forever home. I will miss her and her attitude more than anyone could ever know. Belle misses her so much too. Already our house is not the same. Be good, behave, and Mom will be back. I love you so much Miss Marble!!
