During the past two years Ive been working with a team of doctors and engineers on the development of a novel medical device aimed for fertility treatments in humans. About 15%- 20% of the couples in the world suffer from fertility problems. This fact means that those couples will have to undergo fertility treatments in order to have a child. In accordance with the age of the couple and the couples medical problem, fertility treatments can vary from the simpler and cheaper ones, up to the more complicated and expensive treatments, which are called IVF (in vitro fertilization). One of the most unpleasant disadvantages of the IVF treatments is the exposure of the woman to extremely high dosages of hormones.
