During the planning process for the seasons racing, we made all - TopicsExpress

During the planning process for the seasons racing, we made all efforts to find out when the Blessing of the Boats was taking place, but could only ascertain that it would be on Sunday, 13th July, and could not tie down a time. Weve now found out that it will take place on the day we anticipated, (Sunday 13th July), but at 1500, as opposed to 1400 as we thought it might be. Therefore, we wish to change the start time for Summer 5 from 14.30 to 14.00. We will then have a short bay race, hopefully less than an hour, giving boats time to return to the harbour, hopefully dressed overall, to add to the spectacle of this ancient ceremony. We are always most reluctant to bring start times forward as there is the risk that skippers and crews might not find out and then could quite justifiably protest or at least voice their displeasure. I therefore ask ALL skippers to advise me by email that they have received this information that: SUMMER 5, SUNDAY 13TH JULY WILL START AT 14:00 Thanking you for your tolerance. Nigel Robinson RCR
