During yesterday house visit at Blk 306 Jurong East, quite a few residents told me that they had been staying in their first flat for more than 30 years. In addition, their children have also bought resale flats in Jurong so as to stay near them. This is an increasing trend especially when Jurong is becoming a choice location due to the remaking of Jurong lake, development of business centre in Jurong East and possibly the terminal station of the Singapore-KL high speed train service. We will explore the development of Jurong over the past 30 years as we walk down the memory lane this evening at Jurong Green CC. Plus: could anyone spot a cabinet of transformer toys?
