Dusseldorp Skills Forum, the organisation behind Learning Choices, - TopicsExpress

Dusseldorp Skills Forum, the organisation behind Learning Choices, is undergoing some exciting changes that will involve you the readers, and the Learning Choices community. At Dusseldorp Skills Forum, our vision is for all young people to be engaged in learning that enables them to reach their potential and build sustainable futures. We believe that innovation in learning approaches are being pioneered by flexible and inclusive learning models, many of which are featured on the Learning Choices website. To ensure greater equity and improved outcomes for all students it has been recognised that Australian Education systems need major change and alternative learning models have many lessons to share. In the coming year, Dusseldorp Skills Forum will showcase the success of these alternative learning models, fostering collaborative relationships and dialogue amongst practitioners through the development of a community of practice. We will advocate for new ways of learning that are more effective, inclusive, and creative by supporting the development of ideas and practices that are transforming the learning landscape for all young people. Over the next few months we will be redeveloping both the Dusseldorp Skills Forum and the Learning Choices website and newsletter, consolidating the two together into one online location and one email digest. Annie Le Cavalier, our new Communications Manager with a background in youth empowerment and community engagement, will be taking charge of our communication activities, keeping you both informed and engaged. We believe that the changes that we are about to undergo will ultimately make us a better resource and ally to alternative learning practitioners across the country. We greatly value your opinion on the changes ahead and invite your feedback through a national survey, which will replace next month’s newsletter. We would also love to hear from you, if you have any thoughts or suggestions that you would like to share. Please email Annie at [email protected]. learningchoices.org.au/09-09-2013/learning-choices-website-redevelopment.html
