Dutch railways can stuff their 175 anniversary and focus on getting their system back on the rails. The line between Utrecht and Hilversum has become the train from hell, with constant breakdowns and crazy overcrowding both in the morning and evenings. Winter hasnt even started yet. - and the schedules dont take account of the fact that Utrecht station is in the middle of building works and transfer between platforms can take up to 10 minutes. Result? Constantly missing connections.
