As we fast cancer treatment nearly 12 years ago and the medial team advised us to read the side effects of what to expect I question to why we would give this if it causes another cancer and pointed out to me 1 in a million happening well it happen developing another cancer from are treatment. But with this first time around we had Amazing medical team that when we went face this we did are research and questioning because it was all new field for us and a child was only 22 months old no voice to be heard so as a parent you want the best out come. are Team of Doctors helped us understand all or question and not only that but Parents that had a been down this road we would visit about many different things as we did are treatment and learned are research thru other parents and then talked this over with the doctor and Yes there were times as when you go thru this you all put on a protacall and this this the way your treatment plan will be they changed it but very little do the fact they think as doctors and researches find this to be the best out come to your treatment. BUT as for me as a parent I read it researched it a question it but felt comfortable with the plan laid out for us so cancer was a all new learning researching to understand what we were in for. Cancer #2 all new ball game my heart was very heavy and question my decisions why did we have to be that 1 in a million to have this happen NOT that I question are doctors or medical team any at all because they gave us and answered all a concerns the first time. An to have your doctor tell you ( I will never forget your concerns of asking why would we do treatment when it can cause another cancer? his answer 1- million Jan look at this column) so then we research even more as we have become more educated about cancer from round one and from other patients/parents we leaned from each other. Then you think okay in comfort zone of cancer treatment and then throw in your child needs a Bone Marrow Transplant for his best out come for his treatment plan ? you like what now ?? brings more research and people questioning your treatment plan and questioning the medical team more are they in it for a best out come or are they doing it for what is best for them. So we had to the Unversty. of Minnesota all I can say Over the head mind blowing ? But as a Parent all you want is the best out come for your child of a age of 5 1/2 years old again some voice BUT for decision making NO . so back to researching and someone question to why Transplant there no reason for this and time was not on are side. Because Terrell was concerned VERY High Risk on developing another cancer while doing treatment to fight cancer #2 being it was chemical onset so we had the doctor for Unversty. of Iowa call us yes call us and them questioning are decision that we thought we had made the right decision thru are research and questioning and then to get that really made for unsureness so we directed him to call the doctor in Minnesota that we grow to love and trusted. we ended up that night at 9pm a 3 way call with both doctors and us on the phone for nearly 45 minutes discussing are decision near 1 week before transplant and the doctor from Iowa the info he received was truly a different story in what we facing and truly then respected are decision with Minnesota and he learn something from us and are research and Terrell medical history was a stepping leaning stone for him and asked to follow are son as it is so very rare of the way his cancer happen Yet today this doctor from Iowa touches bases with us and are doctor in Minnesota. So as you see not only is it the doctors doing the research of the best out come of the patients BUT its patients helping doctors with there research from parents . Which brings another question for us they tell us Terrell needs growth hormone replacement to help grown well we held off since are research show cause cancerous tumor from treatment. Doctors supported us on this. Until 7 years later thing in Terrell life happen they said that would never happen. That we doubted are decision so back to the table we went Amazing doctor BUT once again are decision was right on BUT a blessing that found yet another tumor last May removed be told 99% sure non cancerous in which my gutt said differently until . pathology told the doctors different then thought base of tumor non cancerous feelers x2 to the tumor was tested positive Mind blowing to the doctors and learned to trust my gutt feeling way to much .SO off ALL tables to even consider him on any growth replacement plan so we use Prayer that he will end up being taller then Emanuel lol BUT take him short and sassy cancer free. So sorry for a long story about medical marijuana this is what you feel is best for your best out come and YES Terrell has non controlled seizures now for over 4 years and they TRULY Suck meaning we have done many different medicine to try and get under control BUT not getting it . Yes we have thrown the thought sof this treatment for the best out come for Terrell well being to have seizures to change your mood for happy to the the grumpiest person nothing to take the this away no snuggling to calm BUT to her him cry out of madness for yes hours. just rips your heart. we pray that they leave as they have come. and continue are research of use of medical marijuana meaning possible all NEW comfort zone of medial team in which if we go to Unverty. of Iowa first off a full couple of weeks of learning All of Terrell medical history and then another 6-9 months even to get started on another plan It like very over whelming and all stems out from are VERY first cancer treatment all his delayed effects. Terrell is a walking miracle and helping many doctors with a new treatment plan for new patients for better out come. And YES there are treatments that I and the doctors agree on that we would NOT of done knowing his out come now Again trail and error and questioning and doing your very own research and If we go this route HE made not get the out come Ike others. BUT support this if it can make for a better out come on ones well being NO matter the reason WHY not that what we all want IS What is best out come for all. Do again sorry for this VERY long entry and not to make conversation or debate ONE has to do what is best for the medical out come each person is different and need to respect all decisions they may or may not make NO one know the Full behind the scenes one goes thru they just judge what they see at front of them.
