Dynamic disc escape review. ..... Im reviewing the lucid plastic at max weight. The numbers are as follows. 9/5/0.5/2. This is an older production run in lucid. You will see that the newer runs in lucid are marked with a glide rating of 6. Nothing changed with the mold, they just realized that it had a little more glide than the original number. Now the biofuzion and fuzion escapes have a glide rating of 5. It is a noticeable difference in the glide between the different plastic. Nothing drastic but it is noticeable. Now on to flight characteristics. As you all know I dont have a big arm, so I throw escapes as my main distance driver. I would say Im pretty solid around 320-340. I state this so that you can get a feel of How they might fly at those distances for you. The escape really is one of those game changers for me. It holds any line you put it on. Im able to use the escape for every shot I need. When thrown with speed 9 worth of power, it will fly dead straight with a nice fade. Put a little more power on it, and the fade will be alot less. Its a perfect tight woods, straight distance shot. Thrown with distance type of power, you will notice a nice turn that will fade back at the end. The stability of this disc is very workable. If you release it on a slight anhyzer, it will flex out at the end. But you must give it some height. Released on an anhyzer to hold the line, it goes right and doesnt come back. When you get one seasoned just right, it becomes a hyzerflip machine. It will flip to flat and fly dead straight with almost no fade. Now lets talk about wind. It does well in a tailwind but I prefer something understable for this shot. The escape will hold in a headwind if you back off on arm speed and release on a hyzer. I carry a super beat biofuzion (my favorite) for all out distance. Its beat in to where it will hyzerflip to flat, start to turn, and come back at the end. I carry the lucid for dead straight with little fade, and a dyemax for headwinds. The dyemax is the most overstable escapes you will find. I recommend the escape for many reasons. If you dont have the arm speed for high speed discs, but you want distance, buy an escape. If you have a big arm and need a control driver that is sneaky long, buy an escape. Looking for a straight flyer in the woods, escape. It really is a disc that you can season to different stabilities and cover all shots. I can go on and on about this disc but Ill stop here. Do yourself a favor and check one out!!
