E-TV IsiZulu News Reader Vacancy By: Admin on SEP 09 E-TV is looking for a News Reader: IsiZulu to report to the Executive Producer: Sunrise in Jobhannesburg Closing Date: 13 September 2013 Ky performance areas include: Be able to translate stories from English to Zulu Arranging and preparing for interviews Research and Script for interviews Briefing camera man and interviewee on topic before hand Checking archives for specific identified news items Checking electronic media (wires), articles of interest in newspapers and study International media Conducting preliminary telephonic and follow-up on interviews Directing editor to cut pictures according to storyline. Shoot and Package location stories Identifying stories through research and networking Screening functions, events for possible newsworthy items Requirements: Journalism Degree/Diploma Should have at least 3 years broadcasting experience Must be fluent in Zulu and have strong command of the language Good general knowledge, thorough understanding of South African politics and players involved Working knowledge of quality of visuals and scripts A developed culture of reading and news sense Ability to develop story ideas Be a team player and ability to work with others Work to strict deadlines and display initiative Must be able to work under pressure Be prepared to work early morning shifts and flexible hours If you possess the criteria and qualifications as stated, please send your application form together with a detailed CV to [email protected] Closing date: 12 September 2013.
