EBRD Integrated Approach: First-time Fund Managers Pitching Event in Vilnius As part of the EBRD’s (The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development) Integrated Approach programme for the further development of the private equity and venture capital sector in the Baltic States EBRD is organising a series of capacity building events. One of such an events took place in Vilnius this week on 21-22 January as the outcome of partnership between EBRD and Lithuanian private equity and venture capital association (LT VCA). The “First-time Fund Managers Pitching Event” was organized as the workshop with the goal of improving the capacity building for the local fund managers. The aspiring fund managers were invited to present the overview of their proposal to EBRD representatives which was followed by one-on-one feedback. 8 private equity and venture capital fund managers took part in the workshop which shows and sends the signal that the PE/VC ecosystem is growing in Lithuania and we are very much likely in the nearest future to see new funds / new teams joining the market! The event did not intend to constitute a formal pitch for EBRD financing rather it was the opportunity for the teams to gain the knowledge and to better prepare prior to approaching the market.
