The country produces some of the best,high quality asphalt in the world. Its main importers of this oil derivative called asphalt are: Angola, Nigeria, Ghana, Gabon,Benin,Cameroon,and others countries. The Ivorian company SMB is the only refinery company in Africa that produces high quality asphalt compare to the rest of Africa. The company produces more than 350,000 kilotons of asphalt/year.
