EFFECTIVE Kingdom living as Single yet Satisfied!!! For many unmarried ladies, life has been unfair, lonesome, frustrating and unfulfilling. They spend their days with pretentious smiles and their nights in tears and loneliness. They believe joy and contentment comes only from being married. For the Christians, they believe God has not been faithful. But let me tell you this; that our God is ever faithful. His love is overwhelming. Discontentment and frustration comes because we dont know the purpose of the seasons of our lives. There is a purpose for our seasons of singleness which I want to share with you. Trust me, when purpose is unknown, abuse is inevitable. The word of God says in Romans 8:28:: And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. Do you love God, and have you been called according to His purpose? If yes your period of singleness is working for your good. Dont abuse it. Now come with me... 1. The Lord teaches us to seek to know His love. Because there is no lover in our lives, He becomes our lover. The bible says, we are His bride. In these times we need to become intimately, passionately and powerfully connected to Him and this is when we can understand and appreciate Him more. Make Him the lover of your soul and He will meet every need (spiritual, emotional, financial, social and every basic need). 2. Singlehood is a season of grooming. The Lord develops our patience, faith, true love and long suffering. He shapes our character. As we spend more time with Him, His nature rubs on us. 3. He teaches us to know and understand why we exist; our Purpose. In so doing we are empowered to become the best and live our lives to the full potential. When we dont know our purpose we suffer from either absence of priority syndrome or misplaced priority syndrome. End result? A failed life. 4. The Lord wants a love relationship with us. He wants to show us His nakedness (reveal His very Self, beauty, love, peace) as we also show our nakedness (our weaknesses and all). As we continue in intimacy with Him He takes our weaknesses and pours Himself in us. As you know Him, you cant help but love Him more. It is a very beautiful feeling. 5. As singles, we have the opportunity to make the greatest spiritual investments: in prayer, worship, bible study, fellowship and evangelism. The dividends are awesome and eternal! No husband and no kids affords us more time for God. 6. Knowing God intimately allows us to strategically position ourselves to receive the best from Him. You know and understand His times and seasons. Capture His heart and you will have the best of every thing. 7. Above all, He will give you a husband after His own heart!!!! This is my testimony!!!
