*EL RENO TORNADO MAY 31ST 2013* May 31st 2013, we woke up, looked at the parameters for the day. We simply got goose bumps over what we saw on the models. You just had the bad feeling that a violent tornado was going to be on the cards this day. Hearing the roar as the tornado came bursting out towards us. Seeing the violent motion and debris swirling around at the bottom of the monster. Inflow that strong you were struggling to stand upright. And the width of this beast was mind blowing. A day I am very glad we decided to play back a little to watch it all unfold. It was rather chilling watching this unfold and knowing that people were going to be losing their lives. 12months down the track and I still think about that day, what we saw and witnessed, but most of all, the people that were unfortunately lost in the events that unfolded. Tragically 3 of the best, most respected storm chasers that have ever graced this planet. Most chasers around the globe had the world of respect for Tim, Paul and Carl. What they were trying to achieve is something that will never be lost or forgotten by anyone. It is a true tragedy that we lost some of our own that day. A very sobering experience for all. They will always be with us whenever we are out chasing where ever you are in the world. RIP Tim, Paul and Carl. You are sadly missed.
