EMERGENCY UPDATE!! (Please repost!!) Environment Canada has just updated their forecast and the news is NOT GOOD. Please see my earlier post of a few minutes ago. Environment Canada has now forecast at least 4 more inches of rain tonight! Very severe flooding now likely. Environment Canada says: Rainfall warning in effect for: •Inland Vancouver Island Rain, at times heavy, is expected. ANOTHER FRONTAL SYSTEM WILL APPROACH THE SOUTH COAST OVERNIGHT. HEAVY RAIN WILL REDEVELOP LATE THIS EVENING AND CONTINUE THROUGH WEDNESDAY MORNING. RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF 100 MM CAN BE EXPECTED OVER WEST AND INLAND VANCOUVER ISLAND BY MIDDAY WEDNESDAY. Heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads. Rainfall Warnings are issued when significant rainfall is expected.
