EMPLOYMENT Sales/Customer Service Full Time Position Description We require an experienced sales/customer service person who will be primarily responsible for servicing customer enquiries efficiently in a busy environment. The successful applicant will have a genuine interest in sales, be mechanically minded and have excellent communication skills to determine customer requirements. Experience or knowledge of steel, fabrication, fencing or trailers is an advantage. Position Responsibilities Sales & customer service including counter sales, phone sales, invoicing & cash handling Quoting steel prices & estimation of fabrication work Determination of cutting lists for steel materials Some cutting of steel is required Interpretation of customer’s basic fabrication requirements & translation into usable shop drawings for workshop fabrication Checking fabricated & cutting jobs for accuracy to ensure the customers requirements are met in full Position Requirements Customer Service / People Skills High level understanding of dimensions and numeracy, and/or mechanical aptitude Familiar with the use of computers (Invoices & quotations processed through computers) Ability to work in a busy environment, cope with interruptions & remain organized is essential Must be physically fit as some heavy lifting will be require Ability to follow through on designated tasks Reliable & Conscientious Abide by Breakwater Metaland’s OH&S Standards.
