ENEMIES OF DESTINIES... “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.” Romans 12:1-2. Men and brethren, our enemies are numerous but they are not bigger than our God. The bible says “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” Eph 6:12. This powers mentioned in the scripture are easy to deal with it. How? Jesus declared “Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.” Luke 10:19. Right where you are, God’s greatest heartbeat this season is to reposition destiny for His purpose and kingdom. Everything created is subject to the Creator through His word. One thing that God hates is violation of His covenant principles. In Jehovah, He is known as God of covenant. There are other things around us that are both visible and invisible that are enemies to our destiny. In Romans 12:1, the bible is keen that we beware of the major enemies within “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.” This verse of the Scripture is a call to service and a call to worship God with our life and body and spirit. The word, “I beseech you” means “I plead with you, I persuade you.” God is saying, I plead and persuade you to present your body, holy unto Me for My full dwelling and habitation. You cannot be enslaved by sin until you are entangled. When you allow your mind to accept the things that are against God’s word, you get entangled. We get entangled by what we hear, accept and believe. “But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.” James 1:14-15. If you are not getting new result, then you are disconnected from the fountain of life. In the covenant our conscience is renewed daily. We renew our mind by the word of God. God wants us to have new results. Romans 12:2, “And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.” A transformed mind is an informed mind and an informed mind is a fountain of results and solutions. To start with, we must get separated from sin, emotions, sentiments and be independent in our mind. Present yourself worthy of God in this new month. You cannot carry the blessing of a Being whom you are not worthy of. Make up your mind to live a righteous life in this season. The Word of God, ministered in our hearts by the Holy Spirit, is the only power on earth that can transform us from worldliness to true spirituality. In fact, it is all we need to be made “complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work” 2 Timothy 3:16, NKJV. The result is that we will be “able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will” Romans 12:2b. It is the will of God for every believer to be a living sacrifice for Jesus Christ. Be courageous, determined to get separated from all manner of entanglement. So many things God has promised us have been enslaved in the wilderness of sin. Sin is a yoke, a reproach and a barrier. It is the world system. If you don’t get transformed, you will be deformed. If you do not get separated, you will become enslaved. Until we overcome sin, we cannot overcome sickness, failure and stagnation. Righteousness is absence of sin. It means a vote to God and God’s government and blessings. This month, I want you to know that the life that Christ brought is a righteous life, resurrection life, light breeding and light giving life; may you be empowered to make a difference to your generation in jesus name.
