To: Indian Patriot Cc: [email protected] Dear Sir, This is with reference to your application dated 06/06/2013 seeking information under Right to Information Act-2005. 2. The information, ad seriatim, is as follows : 1. Query 1: Does the Indian HC London have a published list of “AIU approved” under graduate and post graduate UK university programmes - where so many Indian students pursue higher studies? [AIU stands for Association of Indian Universities] 1. Answer 1- No; 2. Query 2: If not, then why was such a list (mentioned in query 1) not prepared and published proactively – to serve the interests of thousands of students taking up Post Graduate courses in the United kingdom of Great Britain. 2. Answer 2-The information sought does not constitute information under Section 2 (f) of the RTI Act 2005; 3. Query 3: Did Indian High Commission London forward AIU, the list mentioned in query 1– to serve the interests of thousands of students taking up Post Graduate courses in the United kingdom of Great Britain? 3. Answer 3-No; 4. Query 4: If query 1, query 2 and query 3 pertain to the policy matter of the Government, then what steps have been taken by the Indian High Commission London– to prevent thousands of Indian Citizen Students taking up AIU unapproved Post Graduate or undergraduate courses in the United kingdom of Great Britain? 4. Answer 4- The High Commission of India, London, does not deal with the policy matters in this regard; 5. Query 5: Why is it that emails like AG/ABD2DXB/109C dated 30-05-2013 are not promptly answered despite repeated follow up? Is there any stipulated Turn-around-Time for answering queries addressed to Indian High Commission London? 5. Answer 5- The e-mail dated 30.05.2013 was received in this office. However, the issues raised in that message involve internal policies of foreign universities. 3. If you are not satisfied with this reply, you may prefer an appeal to Shri Prashant Pise, Counsellor & Appellate Authority, High Commission of India, India House, Aldwych, London WC2B 4NA, within a period of 30 days from the date of receipt of this e-mail.
