Women winner Kenyan Joyce Chepkirui clocked 51:33. All eyes were on Leonard Komon, winner of this race for the past two years but finished fifth at the end (46:32). Second John Mwangangi 45:30 ahead Peter Kirui 45:31 and Abera Kuma also 45:31. In women race close second Flomena Chepchirchir 51:33 with Sylvia Kibet third 52:06 and Hilda Kibet fourth 52:51. Top other European was Italian Nadja Ejaffini 55:42 as 9th. Top male non-African was Bashir Abdi of Belgium as 13th 47:59.
