EUROVISION 2014 - THE COUNTDOWN - SONG 07/37 UKRAINE: Tick Tock - Maria Yaremchuk After Russia & Azerbaijan, comes Ukraine ... 3 countries in a row that always qualified for the final ... for Ukraine, that tradition will surely be repeated this year ... Tick Tock is no Gravity or Wild dances and when it won the national final, it was truly awfull ... but Eastern Europe is a master in remastering songs ... and the new Tick Tock is a huge improvement, it is definitely one of the better songs in this years Eurovision ... not popular at all among certain groups of Eurovision fans, and I dont have it too high in my ranking either, but when trying to judge it objectively I have to say it is a modern song that could have been sung by one of the American pop idols and come straight into the European charts ... in looks she reminds me Rihanna, which is ofcourse also not a bad thing ... The young viewers will love this! And we know they rule the televoting ... Ukraine always knows what they are doing and we surely can expect a great presentation as well ... the political situation might cost Russia votes, but I dont think that will be the case for Ukraine ... another top 10 for Ukraine, possibly even top 5 again ...
