EVEN A HELPER DOG IS NOT SAFE from THESE BLOOD THIRSTY VERMIN! Gus is a helper dog. He helps others adjust, settle down & just patiently for their forever home. What does that tell you about Gus? There is so much more too about this joyous, friendly, happy fellow. A volunteer writes: With his puppy-like presence and subtle underbite, Gus is among the cutest things to walk on four legs! He is very friendly and wiggly. Gus seems to have some housetraining and walks like a gentleman on leash. He loves treats and will eagerly sit for them. His unbridled love for people can sometimes manifest as jumpiness, but its hard to deny a hug from this boy! He loves to be pet and often flops over and lets me rub his belly. Gus also seems to love other dogs! He is used as a helper dog in playgroups to welcome newcomers and engage them in play. When he cant play with other dogs, Gus loves to play with toys. He is a pro at fetch - bringing the ball back to me and running to catch it again before I can even throw it! With other toys hell try to engage me in a game of tug, or just lay at my feet and hold it between his paws. Gus is so sweet and his joy is infectious; hes waiting patiently at Brooklyn ACC for the lucky person that can call him their own! GUS DIES TODAY.
