EXECUTIVE PRIVLEGE: As we all know over the tenure of this - TopicsExpress

EXECUTIVE PRIVLEGE: As we all know over the tenure of this administration, we have seen the use of “Executive Privilege” This is not a law but rather a privilege offered to the executive branch. Congress may request in writing why the executive branch chose to invoke this privilege. Though executive privilege has been use since the Washington administration. Every President has understood, that this is a privilege that is to be used sparingly when national security is involved, or is in the best interest of the nation. Since this privilege has been provided to the Executive Branch, it has never been abused. That is until the Obama Administration who has used it so many times, that it appears that he can do as he pleases without permission from Congress. There are so many abuses of power by this administration, that to write them all down in this article, would turn it in to a book. However for any person who has any questions as to the abuses. I recommend that they refer to Article II section VIII in the Constitution of the United States. This is where you will be able to read what the US Congress oversees, and is responsible For the first time in history, the Executive, Legislative, and Judicial Branches have neglected to carry out the duties bestowed upon them by the citizens of the United States. I am ashamed that none in neither house nor the Supreme Court did a single thing to stop the abuses occurred in the Executive Branch. Every single member deserves to be charged with abuse of power and treason. Then sent to Ft Leavenworth to serve out life sentences. As for the Legislative, and Judicial Branches, these past 6 years has demonstrated how corrupt our Federal Government has become. It is time for “We the People” who are in charge of this Great Nation to take control, and remove the slime who has managed to penetrate this Great Nation of ours. May God bless us in our endeavor to clean up our Federal Government, and remove these disgraceful individuals from our once proud Government? They all should feel ashamed of themselves. for. As previously mentioned the executive branch shall only use executive privilege sparingly, in cases of national security or where it is in the best interest of the nation. This administration has chosen to invoke it virtually every time congress has disagreed with him. To the point where on several occasions he did not even bother to contact Congress, and simply did as he pleased. Knowing that we have entered a period of time when abuse of power appears to be the norm, rather than the exception. It appears that we are left with no other choice than to write an amendment that specifically spells out when the Executive Branch can use executive privilege. If an amendment cannot be passed I recommend that this privilege be revoked from this administration at the very least. For The Obama administration has proven it is not responsible enough to be trusted with this privilege. Congress could have blocked many of these bills from going through even with the President invoking executive privilege, simply by refusing to fund or de-funding these bills. Or refusing to allow the use of the Military, all of which are under the control of Congress. Speaker Beohner though has refused to challenge or prevent the Executive Branch from implementing these bills. The Supreme Court could have also stepped in when the Executive Branch bypassed Congress, and could have forced the Executive Branch to present the bill to congress for consideration. Or charging the Executive Branch with abuse of power. In the case of abuse of power, the bill would not be presented to congress for consideration, rather charges of abuse of power would be presented to the Senate. Then the Senate would decide whether or not to bring forth charges.
