EXEMPTION FROM ALL CONTRACTS An extract from the Standing Orders - TopicsExpress

EXEMPTION FROM ALL CONTRACTS An extract from the Standing Orders in Council 1839 from Lord Normanby to Captain William Hobson RN reads: I quote “All dealings with the Aborigines (Maori) for their lands must be conducted on the same principles of sincerity, justice and good faith as must govern your transactions with them for the recognition of Her Majesty’s Sovereignty in the Islands. Nor is this all. They must not be permitted to enter into any Contracts in which they might be the ignorant and unintentional authors of injuries to themselves,” unquote. As can be seen from these “Protection Orders” there are no grounds citing contract laws or any Laws what-so-ever that are legally binding on shareholders, beneficiaries or stakeholders and whangai of a Maori Incorporation?
