EXILIS, ABOVE ALL THE OTHERS! June 06, 2013 I have spent a lot of time over the last two years researching the different available devices in the category of non-invasive fat reduction and skin tightening. I currently use Exilis from BTL Industries and I like it better than any other competing device on the market. Although I have gotten good results on the face and neck with Thermage CPT (the newest Thermage) from Solta Medical, I like Exilis better. I did not find Thermage to help as much with body skin tightening, but Exilis really does. And, Exilis will help reduce fat on the body. There are other competitors for Exilis in the fat reduction category. These are Zeltiq Coolsculpting, Solta Liposonix, Vaser Shape, VellaShape, VellaSmooth, SmoothShapes, Ultherapy, Alma Accent, Cutera TruSculpt, and Sciton SkinTyte. I have researched and evaluated them all, and have even discussed them with many of my laser specialist colleagues. I have found Exilis to be the best. Exilis is a non-invasive radiofrequency treatment with no downtime (no redness after) for skin tightening on the face and neck and fat reduction with skin tightening on the body. Although you have to select the right patient, if the patient is a good candidate for the treatment (something we will discuss in consult), the result can be very beneficial. It helps to tighten and lift the face and neck, helping with jowls and sagging. It is more for tightening than for texture, more for lifting than for lines. On the body, Exilis will help reduce the fat of love handles, hips/sides, cellulite in the inner and outer thighs. The beauty of Exilis on the body is that it is the only device I have found of all the ones I researched that really helps with both fat reduction and skin tightening. Improvement in one category without helping in the other (i.e. reducing fat in the stomach but leaving the skin loose) will not make the patient happy. That is why other devices do not give as good of a result as Exilis.
