Each election night reminds me of my early journalism days when I froze my butt off outside polling places interviewing voters. Thats how I learned to always bring a pencil (they work in the rain), and to keep my ballpoint pens in my pant pockets, where they may stay warm enough to work through the night. Tonight I get to cover the Valley City Council meeting at 6 p.m. but Ill head back to the newsroom to write my story while I listen to the first results - NOW GO VOTE - drop boxes close at 8 p.m.!
