Each pupil in school received one of these mugs. This is the info on it: School History 1876 – Cornaig Primary School opened and later added an advanced division. 1936 – Now as Cornaigmore Higher Grade School, sited in the present building, secondary courses were available for all. 1961 – The name change to Cornaigmore Secondary marked the new role as a four year school. 1969-1975 – Programme of closure of island primary schools and opening of new primary department at Cornaigmore – Ruaig 1969, Balemartine 1973, Scarinish 1974, Heylipol 1975. 1980-1983 – Experimental period as six year comprehensive. This status was confirmed in November 1983 and marked by change of name to TIREE HIGH SCHOOL – ARDSGOIL THIRIODH.
