Earlier today, I saw a dog cross the road via the pedestrian lane, - TopicsExpress

Earlier today, I saw a dog cross the road via the pedestrian lane, all by itself, and while the crossing light was green. What a smart dog!, my sister and I exclaimed. A few seconds later, just as the crossing light turned red, I then saw two large monkeys climb over the cement barrier - which was actually just a few meters away from the pedestrian lane - jump down onto the road, and run amongst cars that have already begun to move. These monkeys must be suicidal!, I thought to myself. But then, as they crossed over to the other side of the road, I realized that though they did seem mammalian, I must have misidentified them as monkeys. These creatures were apparently clothed, walked upright, were not that hairy, were far larger than any monkey species I know of, and didnt have any visible tails. Later on, I actually nearly ran over another live specimen - a bigger one this time with less hair on its cranium. It apparently got hold of what looked like a mobile phone and was curiously fiddling with it as it crossed the road. It seemed quite bedazzled by the device it acquired and payed little attention to me or the other car on the opposite lane that nearly ran over it as well. Seemingly unbothered by the the car horns, it considered us for a moment before turning its attention back to the device in its... paws? claws? (whatever anthropologists call that kind of appendage), and proceeded to cross the street. My sister identified them all as homo sapiens, but conventional wisdom would tell you that humans are smarter than dogs and have the common sense to look both ways before crossing the street. No, I feel these creatures are something else entirely. I therefore hypothesize, that the creatures we saw are a new breed of self-clothing mammal that displays sub-canine intellect, and is unfazed by sudden loud noises from cars. One can only hope they dont overly breed as such an animal seems difficult to contain, and in large numbers would present a serious socioeconomic hazard to itself and the rest of the populace. Has anyone else here run into these creatures? Are they dangerous and are they indigenous to our region alone? I must admit, I find it difficult to visually distinguish them from the human species. Furthermore, is it possible for such a creature to infiltrate government systems? If it did, that would explain a lot about this country.
