Earlier today, I went out into our pool to go for a swim. I decided to swim in the afternoon so Id have motivation to finish my work early. It totally worked -- I finished way before schedule, excited all morning to get into the pool. At around 12 I happily put on my swimsuit, went outside, and walked into the water. The temperature of the pool was like bathwater, and I felt that pure bliss you feel when the sun is shining on you and you can play in the water for as long as you want. It was euphoric. I got further into the pool, started paddling, feeling so fortunate to get in some pleasurable exercise. I was telling myself that I needed to make it to the pool more often, that was had such a blessing... ...and just as I was about to luxuriously put my head under the water, I carelessly glanced in the direction of the pool filter... ... and saw THE EYES OF A RAT STARING AT ME. For those of you who wonder if I ever yell, I can assure you that Donald was outside in about 2.3 seconds after I locked eyes with that thing. In other news, I am Never. Swimming.
