Earlier today, at about 16h45, I had an altercation with a group of racist white men and women of Welgelegen suburb in Polokwane. On my way from a friends place at the neighbouring Eduan Park, a white man stops me and cheekily asked what I was looking for in his area. He further asked if I was a resident of that area. Without hesitation I told him his questions were racist and he was racist. Obviously, he did not take kindly to my remarks. He phoned more other white people, they were about 18 in 11 cars. All of them were white wanting to interrogate me like I was a criminal. They took photos of me with cell phones. They blocked my car in the front and from the rear side. One of them even telling me to get out of their area if I did not stay there. I told them they were all racist and that I owed them no apology and explanation for driving in Welgenegen. After an hour, police arrived. The police had been phoned by the same racists who said there was a suspicious person in their area. Police came, they did not even search me, nothing. Funny enough, the whole drama unfolded in front of ANC national executive committee member and MP, Dikeledi Magadzis house. Magadzi is formerly Education MEC. She was not home at the time. I know she would have told the bigoted racists who were doing all that nonsense in the name of CPF where to get off. I was not harmed, but ultimately the racists dispersed sheepishly.
