Early rural DELTA BLUES (Bottleneck Slide) is a fingerpicking style of guitar, that falls under a broader category called (Acoustic) Country Blues. Later with the popularity of the electric guitar, the power trio emerged (guitar, bass, drum) and the Chicago style was born. This style utilized a plectrum approach. Being backed by a band, the guitarist was free to switch between rhythm accompaniment and lead soloing. youtu.be/Rw9FHcP_boU
