Earthquake Alert: UAE, Oman, Iran May 27, 2014 An Earthquake were felt across the UAE and Oman this morning from a 5.2-magnitude earthquake that struck Iran. The UAE’s National Centre for Meteorology and Seismology confirmed the epicentre was 60km east Qeshm in southern Iran. The US Geological Service reported the earthquake as a 5.1-magnitude striking at 9.17am at a depth of 10 metres. Residents in Dubai took to Twitter after feeling tremors from the earthquake with some reporting they had been evacuated from buildings.
