East Reading Royals 9 – 0 Wokingham and Embrook Tigers. Squad: Andy, Shabaz, Kariq, Nat, Idrees, Kyle, Zain, Jake, Dillon. Manager: Tony Coaching Staff: Giggs, Big Nat, Marvin. For the supporters that turned out and with the videos and pictures as evidence the Royals it was obvious that the team was able to hold a solid formation that was disciplined from the offset. The players rewarded parents, coaches and spectators alike with yet another spectacle of advanced soccer. For a worrying while it was unsettled and Idrees especially had to up his game another level to deal with swift breaks. With a strong defence behind them it was Jake who got his first goal for the Royals strike force and it was a well worked ‘three way’ passing initiated by Zain from Dillon that proved too much for the drilled Orange Men. 1- 0. I minute into the second half and a well worked move from Kariq up to the edge of Wand E’s box and a switch from Dillon to Kyle who sweetly struck a far post placement to dip over the beaten keeper. 2 - 0 The red attack became relentless and the orange keeper had to parry on several occasions or see off others wide. Idrees made the tackle of the match and on the back of some even greater passing up the right wing Jake lifted a splendid shot out wide in homage to Kyle’s example. 3 – 0 Now the spectacle begins.....ole soccer...ole...ole...Kyle gets the ‘GOAL of the MONTH’ award next with some excellent team build up 4- 0....that effort was honoured with a superb solo from Dillon 5 - 0....Nat from outside the box 6 – 0....again some patient build up for Kyle’s...... 7 – 0....Jake drills home his third 8-0......a double hatrick title for two separate players....ole....ole......more strong challenges from Nat in defence and a superb assist from Zain gave.....Dillon.....BOOM ! 9 – 0 .... GOOD POINTS – ALL OF IT ! NOT SO GOOD POINTS – NONE OF IT ! RESULT – Awesome, amazing, inspirational even hilarious. As foretold then, Wokingham and Embrook or the ‘Orange Men’ now know the wrath of our new ‘Royal Reds’. A reputation now precedes this team and may they be undefeated for many games more. Well done to all the TEAM and STAFF and PARENTS.....young and old
