Eat Local Sudbury is looking for a driver Job opportunity, Eat Local Sudbury: We are HIRING! Position: Delivery Driver Eat Local Sudbury Co-op is a unique, not-for-profit co-operative that works to responsibly provide a dependable supply of locally grown and locally processed food to an increasing number of members and other local food consumers in Sudbury and the surrounding region. We do this by providing a retail space in downtown Sudbury where everyone can buy local food and farmers/producers can sell their products. We are seeking a part-time Delivery Driver to pickup product from regional farms and make regular deliveries to the cooperative store as well as other destinations. Wage: 15-35 hours per week at $15-18 per hour depending on experience Qualifications: Successful candidates will have the following qualifications: Excellent organization skills and ability to work well with little supervision Excellent communication skills Excellent problem-solving skills Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving history record Sound record-keeping abilities Good navigational skills Previous experience working with a not-for-profit organization an asset Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Food handling experience is an asset Able to handle money and organize orders Job Description: Ensure safe driving en route while obeying all traffic regulations and performing regular vehicle safety checks Drive to farms and pick up products ordered, deliver products to the co-operative and to institutional purchasers Assist with receiving product at the store Report regularly to the Managing Director Other tasks as required Start Date: As soon as possible Deadline for applications is August 22 at 5pm.
