🐶 Ebby and the boys update for today🐾 Ewwwww! To start this off with...kind of gross, but hopefully little Buddy has learned a lesson about chewing sticks and what it eventually does to a puppy tummy. Hes in good company though, as Ghia did the same thing at around 12 weeks - with the exact same result too, bleah! 😕 I thought I caught him in time, but obviously not...drat. So no supper for him tonight just to be on the safe side, and omg, he was NOT happy about THAT! Hell get a little extra brekky tomorrow morning to make up for tonights missed dinner, Otherwise, puppies are doing very well! Puppy-potty-training is going along much better than I ever even dared hope it would. All six are now barking or vocalizing when they have to go - no #2 accidents in days now, although weeing control continues to take a little longer. I cant get over the fact that very soon theyre going to be moving on to the next phase in their little lives - either another foster home or a foster-to-adopt program home! Ebony made it very clear today that shes had quite enough of the puppies, thank you very much! A few of the boys refused to pay attention to her frustrated cues to leave her alone, with distressing results all around. No one was seriously harmed, but the pups within reach were quite badly shaken up (both figuratively and literally) in the dust-up during the few seconds it took me to reach them. (I was quite literally steps away). Ebby then tried to have a chat with the other pups that werent part of the original pester-party but easily corrected with a stern AH-AH!! and body touch from me. Shes now refusing to even be in the nursery room, even though the pups are in their pen and away from her. I hate to separate them, but I think after the brouhaha today for their health & safety Im going to alternate door person! times for a couple days and reassess things at the end of it. Pups will continue to have Aunty Ghia for company during their yard adventures of course, as well as the other occasional doggy friends who stop by, such as Deanna Dence and her lovely fluffy Abi, and a couple other dogs & their people from around town here. Theyre just not quite ready for the local dog park though. Still a little too young - or maybe its ME who isnt ready, lol. *sigh* Im going to miss these guys!
