“Ebola Fight is worthless without cleanliness” …Say ADM Leader By Aruna Turay National Chairman and Leader of Sierra Leone’s rapidly growing movements that is soon to be transformed into a political party, the Alliance Democratic Alliance (ADM), Mohamed Kamarainba Mansaray, has told Sierra Leoneans that any strategy to fight Ebola out of Sierra Leone without prioritizing hygiene and cleanliness will be worthless and wasteful. He made this statement during a general cleaning exercise organized by residents of various constituencies in Freetown on Saturday 24th January 2015, of which he solely financed and was also in full and active participation. According to Kamarainba, in his clarion call for all Sierra Leoneans to join the fight against Ebola, President Ernest Bai Koroma appealed for all Sierra Leoneans to do their bits to ensure that the virus is eradicated from the country. “In response to this call, I personally saw it fit to prioritize Hygiene and cleanliness as key factors that will help fight the epidemic in the country. In respect to this, I hereby galvanized young people within the various constituencies across the country, financed and physically supported them to clean their communities.” Kamarainba stated in an interview with this reporter last evening. He said since November of 2014, he has successfully, with strong support from ADM members at home and in the Diaspora, sponsored and be part of cleaning exercises in over eight communities in Freetown. He assured that Ebola no Ebola he will continue to tour the entire country and replicate similar cleaning exercises with his team of loyal and very supportive and dedicate young men and women. The ADM chief went on to say he has also been using and will continue to use the process to visit, sympathize and empathize with residents in quarantined homes within these communities. “I have already started it and God willing, I will continue to visit our quarantined brothers and sisters, monitor their situations and counsel them to be steadfast and continue to keep their communities clean from Ebola” the leader stated. He assured that by end of January this year, his team has planned to replicate the cleaning exercise in at least four more communities in Freetown, including Lumley, Goderich, Marbella, Kroo Bay and Aberdeen, among few others. It can be recalled that the ADM recently conducted a massive cleaning exercise and visited Ebola quarantined homes in Constituency 99 around Portee and Rokupa in the east end of Freetown. This wonderful move has been replicated past Saturday in Constituency 106 around Susans Bay and Big Wharf, where the ADM also conducted a massive cleaning exercise and visited Ebola quarantined homes as well.
