#EbolaSierraLeone - Shameful Breaking News!!!!! For once I am speechless, well I do have plenty to say but my spirit is weak. How low can we sink? An innocent introductory greeting and a benign question of where are you from is essentially becoming a nightmarish question to answer. I woke up to the breaking news of the strike by the Ebola Burial Teams owing to the non-payment of their weekly risk allowances. The consequence was that youths in Aberdeen had to blockade a busy road to call attention to a corpse abandoned in the streets. Ill do a thesis to explain the cause of this despicable and tragic situation; but I simply do not have the energy to do so. So much goes into negative outpouring and I am sure what we want to deal with are suggestions and recommendations to curb the virus. This entire crisis shows we have failing or non-existence institutional capacity in Sierra Leone. If we do not have institutional measure to ensure payment of frontline workers months into a crisis situations were Billions of Leones have been donated, then I do not know what else can be done properly. This is not a problem that started 7 years ago. It is a chronic prevalent African problem. LAST WORD: Borrowing the words of President Obama in his speech to the Ghanian National Assembly - Africa needs strong institutions and not strong men. Lets build our institutions. Sgn. One Mic
