Eccentric contraction, i.e. the negatives weve done in my videos and training plans and as included in my Top 8 Secrets from last week, improves Flexibility BETTER than stretching! This is huge info!! Its also been shown that long, slow running (i.e. marathons) actually decrease eccentric strength of the hamstrings and, coincidentally, strengthening the hamstrings eccentrically is a therapy for ACL tears and knee pain - two common injuries in marathoners turned obstacle racers.
