Economic Event to Watch: Eurozones GDP (QoQ, YoY, Q3) Revised - 10:00 GMT, 5 December 2014 On Thursday, the European Central Bank (#ECB) kept interest rates as is at 0.05%. However, it was later on during the day when Bloomberg published that ECB President Mario #Draghi will be introducing a full-scale Quantitative Easing programme in January next year, which sent the #EUR tumbling. Friday will see a revision of Eurozones Gross Domestic Product (#GDP) - a figure that measures changes in the value of all goods and services produced within the economy (inflation-adjusted). When its preliminary figure came out to maintain (0.2% for year-on-year, 0.8% for quarter-on-quarter), market participants heaved a huge sigh of relief as it meant that the Eurozone had steered clear of falling into a recession. The revised/final figures are expected to remain the same - should it not, it could cause some major volatility for the EUR.
