Eddies Journey I have been away for 10 days. Eddie has been inching along. I believe his major advances in the past few months have been due in large part to his new free breathing program. And his pulmonologist at UCLA Medical Center agrees with recommendations for more breathing programs. This is part of Eddies special graces from God. And all he wants for Christmas is for this help in his journey to continue. A few weeks before that Eddie had a follow up with his orthopedic doctor. Her reaction to the wonderful things he has been doing like sitting up, lifting his arms, increased awareness, is that these were just autonomic type reactions. After saying this a few times, Eddie began talking to the doctor. He was scolding her. And after a minute or so the doctor realized there was more to Eddie than meets the eye. She even suggested beginning speech therapy. Wow! So Eddie continues to surprise us. Why? The most significant development has been in his breathing program. His pulmonologist is not a doubter. His mother is not a doubter. I am not a doubter. Eddie is getting better. It is due to his spirit, his strength, his courage. And your prayers and support. I do too. In 1998, I was diagnosed with leukemia. I fought it every way I knew. In the past 18 months all of my markers began decreasing. My latest tests were double checked and the oncologist says I am now in complete remission. I know Eddie had something to do with this. I know all of you did. And I know God helped a lot.
