Edge of Tomorrow, based on the japanese light novella All You Need - TopicsExpress

Edge of Tomorrow, based on the japanese light novella All You Need Is Kill by Hiroshi Sakurazaka was a ridiculously fun ride, not unlike some recent video game media.. Whether you like Tom Cruise or not, the film is solid science fiction and the supporting characters of Bill Paxton and Emily Blunt add to an amusing action flick, thanks to a Groundhog Day meets Starship Troopers (this is a better comparison than ID4) story methodology. What results thereof equates to crazy action spectacles, a well conceived plot-driven narrative, and some light humor to add to the cycles of death. Kinda wish I had seen it in IMAX. 8/10.
